Dr. Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips adalah Ulama Kanada-Jamaika yang masuk Islam pada awal tahun tujuh puluhan setelah melakukan perjalanan politik dan intelektual dari Kristen ke Komunisme.


Tak lama setelah memeluk Islam, beliau memulai perjalanan akademis spiritual ke belahan lain dunia untuk mencari pengetahuan Islam.


Perjalanan ini membawanya ke Arab Saudi, di mana beliau menyelesaikan gelar Sarjana dalam Studi Islam di Madinah dan Magister Teologi Islam di Riyadh.


Beliau kemudian melanjutkan ke University of Wales, Inggris Raya, di mana beliau menyelesaikan gelar Doktor dalam Teologi Islam.

Francesca was born in Italy. She has studied Psychology (BSc), Neuro-Cognitive Psychology (MSc) and Neuroscience (PhD). She has been teaching at IOU since 2014, where she now holds the post of Head of Department of Psychology. Her research interests include Islamic Psychology and the relationship between Islamic and Western thought, especially in modernity. She is the author of many books about Islam in Italian. In Italy, she works as a University professor of Islamic Studies.

Bela Khan is a Ph.D. candidate in Islamic Psychology. She is serving as Senior Lecturer of Psychology at IOU. She is also a Life Coach, author of two books and a Homeschooling Mom. She holds a Master degree in Psychology and many certifications in the field of personal development, parenting, relationships, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

Her areas of interests include Religion, Neuroscience, High performance and Positive Psychology. Working with women and teenage girls to overcome their depression and healing their emotional self through holistic approach, is her expertise, bi fadlillah.

She delivers various training in the field of personal development, relationships, high performance and life coaching.

She also holds her diplomas in Quran Tafseer and Hadith. Therefore, she loves combining the concepts of Psychology with the Divine Principles of Islam.

SANA MAJEED

Ms. Sana Majeed is a dedicated and goal-driven professional with a solid commitment towards social and academic growth and development of her field. She is performing her role as Senior lecturer at the International Open University. Moreover, she has an outstanding knowledge of principles of Psychology and expertise in implementing many types of behavioral and counselling therapies with Diverse Communities. Besides, she had approximately 8 years’ experience in counselling, teaching, research supervision and management. She has completed her MS Clinical Psychology from the Centre for Clinical Psychology, University of the Punjab, Lahore. Currently, she is doing her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Her research area includes Positive Parenting, Spirituality, Problems related to Adolescents and Adults, Psychosocial and emotional wellbeing, Emotional intelligence, Creativity, Healthy family relationships and Workplace environment etc. She had published many research articles in national and International journals. Furthermore, she provides Training workshops in different well reputed business sectors of Pakistan. With all her competencies and work experiences, Ms. Sana Majeed is motivated to promote Islamic Psychology & research culture in academia as well as in Health sector.

ASMA KHAN

Background: Asma Hussain Khan is a Pakistani national. Hailing from the Kashmir state of Pakistan, Ms. Khan gained early education from Saudi Arabia. She later specialized in Psychology of Religions from the International Islamic University of Pakistan. With an eye of detail and complex analysis of world major religions, she is working for 12 years as an academician and general counsellor, helping her students know themselves and reach their potentials.   


Achievements: She is the first Psychologist of Religion from her country, Pakistan, and also the first Jungian academic. Additionally, she is an Accredited Resilient Leadership Consultant from UK.   


Future plans: Ms. Khan aspires to become a Jungian Analyst / Therapist. For the purpose, she is undergoing training at the Ontario Association of Jungian Analysts (OAJA) in Canada.
